This past Saturday Redeemer Classical ran a children’s activities booth at the Barr Street Market in Fort Wayne. The market has grown by leaps and bounds in just the past few years. Even though it was an extremely hot and muggy day, the atmosphere was festival-like and the streets were full of people.

We wanted to share one of our signature strengths with Fort Wayne, so our booth featured flower dissection. It was amazing to watch the children’s interest in finding out, with a very sharp knife (adults-only!), exactly what is inside a flower. Redeemer Classical students dissected flowers in botany class this year for science, and memorized the various parts with our morning memory work. Here are two views of the booth.

It was a great morning getting out to meet more folks in Fort Wayne, and we hope and plan to be back again.
